At the Center of the Human Body is a Pulse

Arriving at thoughts of why it was you, and not me
We are all the same –
lungs that breathe/eyes that see
skin with pores
a body that sways with a pulse
of eccentricity
dot the “i” and accentuate the “me” – in harmony.

Separated by a hatred apparently only gods can distinguish.
If the universe told you to,
Would it be worth it?
Was it worth it?

Attempts to reek havoc;
An image dare not fathom.
Trying to tear apart
A group that grew closer as a result.
City Strong
But you won’t ever understand what you did wrong.

The number who stand proud
Outweighs the bullets
used to break the hearts of thousands,
by reason none other than a lack of soul
sold to harm…
A story that will never go untold.

At peace to know there is still a chance,
for a World that bands together at stance.
An army, a troop
Who can put aside their roots
To realize that we are all one.

Questions will go unanswered
and forgiveness will go nowhere.
While prayer can tend to some,
In the end we are all one.
The Answer Is Love.

White Flags

Darkened meadows

Dreamscapes draped upon

Sound shadows.

Scale the walls

(up and down);

You have no use for me now.

Bring about a common enemy,

Searching for the end to suffering,

While engaged in a muffled slumbering.

Excuse the accused,

Innocence is at its near.

Yet, guilt stays beyond the felt,

In corner coves covered in fear;

A hot burning stove,

But outside, mango groves

(they continue to grow).

Destination still in sight, without turmoil,

Posing a threat to abet to the rules left from drained and ruined oils.

Who will take the role of the fool?

The one who will pity the precious parties

and twisted tongues…those who have yet to be abused.

Challenges chased and unmarked schools

(What a remarkable excuse!).

Be quiet, and no one will lose.

However, remember, the whispers in silence

are not to be taken harshly.

Light is found in the lightly.

Do not upset the marshlands,

(Jump off the old bandwagon)

And keep marching…

Spiteful promises

Truth behind masks of serenity.

I did not plan to be;

Corrupted, interrupted by my own worst enemy

(and interpreted wrongly).

Pledges to purity

Won’t save goodness instilled beneath.

Let the spirit soar;

Run free,

Please, do not run away from me.

Begs to be certain, for sure;

Let nature take its course

(and choose wisely);

Making up for lost time,

Times infinity.

Delete The “Want” and “Need”

Count everything twice,

Read it back thrice;

Every problem is

One step closer to a solution.

Must give a lot, not get wrapped up in delusions,

Fixed in institution.

Well, we came so far, now we can’t go back,

Cover up the footprints with dirt;

Get off the railroad tracks.

And it’s been so long since I’ve seen real love.

One sided guilt trips,

Riding on a mule whose carried all my luggage,

Weighed down with extra baggage.

Push forward to the top:

Today may be gone, but tomorrow’s a new start.

To think we are only divided by one common enemy:

The falsehood inside of us,

Well, maybe that’s the problem.

The right to let it out, not hide it;

A test to conquer, not let this get the best of me.

Unstable, surely able,

With a gamble, I can live for eternity.

Peace is a state of mind,

Not to take refuge in pieces of the past’s

Storage – it won’t last.

The life I will live is in front of me,

But something’s gotta give.

Be grateful for what you have,

Take what you can get,

Try not to ask for more.

The solution to the problem is spirit,

A common thread that we all ignore.

A Prayer for Boston

The harsh reality of the world – the pain, the suffering, the epitomes of violence – can sting more than it has the ability to conquer. The maniac states and warped provisions ultimately can guide one into a negative direction, in fate of a better tomorrow. May the acts be truly deemed as unspeakable? For, no one can begin to make sense of the chaos without limitations, rules, guidelines or communication. Communication that goes beyond the surface of hinting subtle suggestions or prerogatives. In lieu of it all, as a nation dedicated to the safety and wellness of others, our nations (and our world) needs more action and less negative reaction. More self control, rather than control and domination over others and their favors or disfavors. Acceptance, purity and heart. However, of course, that is holding ourselves and others to a high standard, on a pedestal of sorts, that is impossible to reach, one we probably never will experience. However, trying and attempting – that may be the greatest cure of all – one which has the ability to at least help motivate us and others to strive for the great, to keep hope and faith alive, and fundamentally grasp inner peace and tranquility, as well as self (and outward) acceptance towards all diversity and life forces.

United we should stand as a world – not just as a nation.

To all those who were traumatized, in any form of the word, due to the Boston Marathon Explosions, my heart goes out to each and every one of you individually. Tears and prayers can, and never will, mask the destruction, but those who try – and those who lend their favors and hand in the realms of it all – you are the true saviors and heroes who deserve a never ending, “thank you”.

Terrorism is monstrous…

Our people are choking while

Freedom is ringing

In the ears of car alarms

And smoke bombs.

Truth of the matter,

Happiness may never provide

a silver platter.

Justification for a small vibration

In the depths of contemplations

Of taking others lives, that divides

A nation devoted to its troops.

We must unite, to defend ourselves

And the safety of others and the truths.
