Delete The “Want” and “Need”

Count everything twice,

Read it back thrice;

Every problem is

One step closer to a solution.

Must give a lot, not get wrapped up in delusions,

Fixed in institution.

Well, we came so far, now we can’t go back,

Cover up the footprints with dirt;

Get off the railroad tracks.

And it’s been so long since I’ve seen real love.

One sided guilt trips,

Riding on a mule whose carried all my luggage,

Weighed down with extra baggage.

Push forward to the top:

Today may be gone, but tomorrow’s a new start.

To think we are only divided by one common enemy:

The falsehood inside of us,

Well, maybe that’s the problem.

The right to let it out, not hide it;

Once

A test to conquer, not let this get the best of me.

Unstable, surely able,

With a gamble, I can live for eternity.

Peace is a state of mind,

Not to take refuge in pieces of the past’s

Storage – it won’t last.

The life I will live is in front of me,

But something’s gotta give.

Be grateful for what you have,

Take what you can get,

Try not to ask for more.

The solution to the problem is spirit,

A common thread that we all ignore.
